Family Health Clinic at the Crossings in Hopewell Holds Open House for CommunityHopewell, VA, June 29, 2009 The Family Health Clinic at the Crossings, part of the HCA Virginia Health Group, held an Open House for the community on June 26 and June 27. Dr. Oluwaronke Awosika and the staff at the Family Health Clinic offered the tri-cities community free Heart Risk Assessments and Sports Physicals. Throughout the day, the clinical team provided physicals and screenings for cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose and body mass index to help patients identify their risks for heart disease. Melissa Tuck brought her daughter, Haileigh Sober, to the clinic for a sports physical. Haileigh will be cheering this fall for Elizabeth Davis Middle School. Tuck said she and her family are excited to have this clinic close by. It is so convenient and we love seeing Dr. Awosika. Gary B. Bidleman, of Petersburg, came to meet the staff of the new clinic and to receive his free heart health assessment. Becky McDonough, Executive Vice President of the Hopewell-Prince George Chamber of Commerce, said, The location of this facility makes it convenient for the Hopewell, Prince George, Chester and Fort Lee communities. HCA Virginia Health Group and the Family Health Clinic at the Crossings are pleased to provide the tri-cities community with quality healthcare in a convenient setting. Within a half mile of Fort Lee and only a few miles from John Randolph Medical Center, the Family Health Clinic at the Crossings offers extended hours from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday, including holidays. Walk-ins are welcome and services are available for patients two years and older. An on-site laboratory and x-ray services provide additional convenience so that patients can get results while they wait. Most insurance plans are accepted, including TRICARE.
